What are the system requirements for WebEx Meeting Manager?

The following are the minimum system requirements for installing Meeting Manager for Windows:

  • Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, XP, NT or 2000
  • Intel Pentium 166 MHz or faster processor
  • 32 MB RAM (64 MB recommended)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x or later, Netscape Navigator 4.x, or AOL 5.0 or later
  • JavaScript and cookies enabled on the Web browser, ActiveX enabled on Internet Explorer
  • 56K or faster Internet connection

In most cases, your Web browser is set up properly for Meeting Manager.  However, if you are unsure whether your Web browser's setting are correctly configured, or you encounter problems when setting up Meeting Manager, you can set up your Web browser according to the following instructions.

To set up Internet Explorer 4.x:

  1. On the View menu, choose Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Select the Medium security level.
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. Under Cookies, verify that always accept cookies is selected.
  6. Click OK.

To set up Internet Explorer 5.x:

  1. On the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.  The Internet Options dialog box appears.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Ensure that the Internet zone is selected.
  4. Click Custom Level.  The Security Settings dialog box appears.
  5. In the Reset to drop-down list, ensure that Medium is selected.  If Medium is not already selected, select it, then click Reset.
  6. Click OK to return to the Security tab.
  7. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

To set up Netscape Navigator 4.x or later:

  1. On the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  2. Click Advanced.  The Advanced dialog box appears.
  3. Ensure that the following options are selected:
  • Enable Java
  • Enable JavaScript
  • Accept All Cookies

4. Click OK.
